I graduated in Music from Churchill College, University of Cambridge, and music has always been central to my life. My first instrument is classical guitar. With a strong interest in early music, I also play renaissance lute, theorbo and baroque guitar. There's a fantastic solo repertoire for these instruments, particularly the renaissance lute - enough to keep me going for ever. See my current solo concert programmes here. But I also enjoy playing with other musicians. I work regularly with the Toulouse-based vocal group Antiphona, with concerts in Pau, Rodez and throughout the Midi-Pyrenees region of France. I've recorded three CDs. Two with my duo Sambuca, with flute and recorder player Michael Copley, and one with The Chuckerbutty Ocarina Quartet (did I mention that I play the ocarina as well...?) Music is great for travelling. In the last four years I've given concerts in France, England, Wales, Germany, Spain (nine times!), Slovenia,
Croatia, and a seven-city tour of Japan in 2009. Home |
