Education

Since my early days as a guitar teacher in Cambridge, I've always been active in education, and it's an integral part of my life as a musician.  One of the highlights has been teaching a course at the prestigious Dartington International Summer School.  In the last couple of years I've taught:

  • courses for adults at Benslow Music Trust
  • workshops for music students at Anglia Ruskin and Huddersfield universities
  • courses for disabled people at the Papworth Trust and the Orpheus Centre
  • concerts and presentations for primary schools
  • ocarina workshops, for adults and children, with the Chuckerbutty Ocarina Quartet
  • a weekend course, including a solo concert, for the Lute Society
  • lecture-recitals on the theorbo, in French
  • business and general English for adult and school students in France
